eSignal allows you to create groups of pages, and switch between them with a single click, using Workspaces. Examples of where you may want to use workspaces is if you want to have groups of pages where one group is for stocks, and another group is for futures. Workspaces do not require you to reload eSignal, and as soon as you select a different workspace, the UI automatically closes all the pages for your previous workspace, and opens the pages for your new one.
To create a new Workspace:
- Navigate to the Main Menu in the upper left-hand corner of eSignal.
- In the drop-down menu that appears, click "New Workspace".
- You should see a small window appear in the center of the eSignal window that says "New Workspace". In this window, you can name the new Workspace and then click "OK" to create the new Workspace.
- After clicking OK, you will see all the pages you had previously disappear, and a blank page titled "New Page" will appear, along with the "New Window" dialog box allowing you to quickly select new window types to start building out the first page in your new Workspace.
To cycle between workspaces, you can access the full list of Workspaces you have by navigating to the Main Menu, and clicking "Workspaces..." From there a menu will appear allowing you to double-click on the workspaces available to switch between them.
