eSignal News Manager
The eSignal News Manager allows a user to search for news headlines based on symbol, service and/or keywords. When subscribing to Dow Jones News there's an additional category pull down window that allows users to search for headlines based on popular Dow Jone category codes. The News Manager window can be part of an existing page or can be popped out and viewed outside the frame of the page.
To access the eSignal News Manager, from the Main Toolbar click on View > Headlines or simply click on the Headlines toolbar icon.

News Manager Options Menu
Each News Manager window can be customized through the News Manager Options, which is located on the eSignal Main Toolbar. The News Manager can be customized to retrive specific news stories from specific news services or if subscribed to Dow Jones News by specific category codes. The various toolbars can also be removed if wanted by the users.
Single Preview Mode - This features only shows the list of headlines without the news stories at the bottom of the window pane.
View Query Bar - This function allows the user to be able to turn On or Off the menu bar at the top of the window.
View Filter Bar - This function allows the user to be able to turn On or Off this menu bar at the top of the window.
Settings - Selecting this function will open the Settings dialog box where the application can also be set to user specifications.
Edit Filter - Selecting this feature will bring up the Edit Query dialog box to set the application to the user specifications.
Alert - If you chose the alert option when you set the alert, your computer beeps when the alert is triggered. Alert can be set for symbols, services, keywords or categories.
Sort By - Select the Sort By pull-down box that allows you to choose how the user want to sort headlines in the headlines window. If you choose to sort by time, headlines appear chronologically by the time they were received. If you choose to sort by services, headlines appear alphabetically by news services.
Display - This feature will allow you to filter all, read, unread and flagged headlines.
Set As Default - This option will save any changes made to the News Manager window. When re-opening the News Manager window will have these preferences pr settings added.
Note: Increasing the headline history will also increase the amount of resources needed as well as the amount of time necessary for the download.
