This article provides instructions on how to configure the eSignal Futures Trader plugin with eSignal.
Set-up requirements include:
1. An active subscription to eSignal.
2. The latest version of eSignal. Click here to download and install eSignal.
3. An open and funded account with a qualifying eSignal Futures Traders Broker.
4. Send your eSignal username and this link, New Trader Order Form, to your broker. They will complete and submit it on your behalf.

Please follow the configuration instructions below to complete the set-up.
Configure the eSignal Futures Traders Connection
On the main bar, left-click on Trade. On the dropdown menu, select Broker Manager:

Click the "+" icon


Select eSignal Futures Trader from the Broker dropdown list.

Click OK.

eSignal Futures Trader should now appear in the broker list in left side of the Window. Click the Connection tab, then click on Connection Settings.

The Connection Settings dialog box has several fields. enter your eSignal Futures Trader username and password. Keep the Trading and Authorization server url settings unless otherwise instructed to change them. Once this information has been entered click OK.

Once the configuration is complete, click Connect.

Once the esignal Futures Trader plug-in establishes a connection, the lightning icon will turn green and a message in the Message tab will indicate that it is connected.

Symbol Mapping
To solve the symbol differences between eSignal and eSignal Futures Trader, we've implemented a Symbol Dictionary. The Symbol Dictionary will automatically associate a major number of the eSignal symbols with those used by eSignal Futures Trader. However, there may be times when an eSignal symbol will need to be manually mapped to eSignal Futures Trader. To manually map symbols, do the following:
On the Dictionary & Order Defaults tab in the broker manager window, click Add.

Futures Symbol Mapping
Enter the eSignal symbol you would like mapped (ie. ES #F) and click Lookup.

In the Filtering box of the EFS symbol, select Window, enter the name of the instrument you will be mapping (i.e ES) and click Apply. Select the instrument from the list that appears. Select the expiration dates for the contract you'll be trading and click OK.

Click Accept on the Create Symbol window.

The new symbol has now been added to your Symbol Dictionary. Click Close.

Order Defaults
Pre-set order defaults allow users to assign settings such as quantity, and the type of order (i.e., market, limit or stop), etc. Users can set defaults for an asset class such as stocks and futures.
To set the order default, click on the Dictionary & Order Defaults tab on the Broker Manager window (Trade, Broker Manager, Dictionary & Order defaults) and highlight either the asset class or an individual symbol (ES #F is used for this example). Click Order Default.

Set the Order Default using the available options from the dropdown menus. When this instrument is traded, the quantity and order type will be preset in the order ticket.

Instruments with default settings associated with them will have a blue checkmark in the Default column.

Removing Order Defaults
To remove order defaults, select the asset class or individual symbol that has the Order Default setting to be removed and click Remove Defaults.
Order Confirmation
The order ticket is considered as the confirmation before a order is submitted. If you would like to disable the confirmation prompt, click Trade and Trade Settings.

Remove the check from the box for Confirm Order Before Submitting.
