symbol mapping
to resolve the symbol differences between esignal and oec, we've implemented a symbol dictionary. the symbol dictionary will automatically associate a signicant number of the esignal symbols with those used by oec. however, there will be times when an esignal symbol will need to be manually mapped to oec. to manually map symbols do the following:
on the dictionary & order defaults tab in the broker manager window, click add.
enter the esignal symbol you would like mapped, es h2, for example, and click lookup.
in the text field (1) enter es.
highlight future in the type box (2)
click the lookup button (3) to retrieve result for es
select the appropriate symbol you'll be trading from the result on the bottom of the window
click ok to complete the symbol mapping
click accept on the create new symbol window.
the new symbol has now been added to your symbol dictionary. click close.
the order ticket is considered a confirmation before an order is executed. if you would like to disable the confirmation, click trade, trade settings.

remove the check from the "confirm order before submitting" box.

removing order defaults
to remove order defaults, select the asset class or individual symbol that has the check mark under order default and click remove defaults.
pre-set order defaults allows users to assign variables like quantity, and the type of order (ie, market, limit or stop) in advanced. users can set defaults for an asset category such as stocks and futures or on an individual instrument.
to set the order default, select the dictionary & order defaults tab on the broker manager window (trade, broker manager, dictionary & order defaults). highlight either the asset category or an individual symbol (es h2 is used for this example). click order default.

set the order default using the options available from the dropdown menus. now when this currency pair is traded, the quantity and order type will be preset in the order ticket.

symbols configured with order defaults will display a check mark under the default column in the dictionary & order defaults tab window.
