this article provides a general overview of the qcharts options windows.
qcharts has both an option chain window and an option montage window. the option chain window is included with a qcharts basic subscription while the option montage window requires a qcharts plus subscription. a subscription to stock options (opra) is required for both windows.

opening an option chain window
an option chain window opens in a quote sheet window. there are three ways a user can open a option chain window. the first way is shown below by selecting file from the main menu and clicking new, option chain.
the second way to open an option chain window is by right clicking over a symbol on a quote sheet and selecting new, option chain.
the last way is by using the shortcut button at the bottom of qcharts located on the quotes toolbar. you'll want to first open a new quote sheet window before using this icon. (learn more about the quotes toolbar by clicking here)
using the shortcut button will open a new window called chains. this window allows for additional filtering such as minimum and maximum strike price, expiration, and type which are described below.
