eSignal 12 - Integrated Trading - GAIN Futures
This article provides instructions on how to integrate eSignal with GAIN Futures with the trading plug-in.
Set-up requirements include:
1. An active subscription to eSignal.
2. The latest version of eSignal. Click here to download and install eSignal.
3. An open and funded account with Open E-Cry.
4. Configured the OEC Plug-in which is pre installed with eSignal 12.
5. Register your eSignal account with OEC. Click here to register.
Once the you've logged in, go to Other Links > Manage 3rd party software and enable eSignal:
Please follow the configuration instructions below to complete the Open E-Cry connection.
Configuring the Open E-Cry Connection:
Click Trade and select Broker Manager.
Click the Add Icon (+ sign).
Select OEC Open E Cry, LLC from the Broker drop down list.
Click OK to add OEC to the Broker List.
OEC should now appear in the broker list on left. Click the Connection tab, then click the Connection Settings.
The "Connection Settings" dialog has several fields, enter the appropriate information in each of the fields:
Login- Enter your OEC Username
Password - Enter your OEC Password.
Server- Prod.OpenECry.com.
* Simulated Account user SIM.OpenECry.com
Port - 9200
Click OK.
The configuration is complete, click Connect.
Once the OEC plug-in establishes a connection, the icon will turn green and the message tab will also show "connected".
Symbol Mapping
To solve symbol differences between eSignal and OEC we've implemented a symbol dictionary. The symbol dictionary will automatically associate a major number of the eSignal symbols with those used by OEC. However, may be times when an eSignal symbol will need to be manually mapped to OEC . To manually map symbols do the following.
On the Dictionary & Order Defaults tab in the Broker Manager Window, click Add.
Enter the eSignal symbol you would like mapped, ES #F and click Lookup.
Click OK.
The configuration is complete, click Connect.
Once the OEC plug-in establishes a connection, the icon will turn green and the message tab will also show "connected".

There's two way to lookup and map symbols for OEC. Text or Base Contract Lookup
Text Lookup
In the Text field (1) enter ES.Highlight Future in the Type Box (2)
Click the Lookup button (3) to retrieve result for ES
Select the appropriate Futures Contract you'll be trading from the result on the bottom portion of the window
Click OK to complete the symbol mapping.
Use Base Contracts
You can also use the Base Contracts lookup by adding a check mark to the "Use Base Contract" box
Select the contract from the Base Contract Symbol list in the top portion of the window.
Click Lookup
Select the appropriate Futures Contract you'll be trading from the result on the bottom portion of the window
Click OK to complete the symbol mapping.
Click Accept on the Create Symbol Window.
The new symbol has now been added to your Symbol Dictionary, click Close.
Order Defaults
Pre-set order defaults allows users to assign variables like quantity, and the type of order (ie market, limit or stop) in advanced. Users can set defaults for an asset category such as Stocks and Futures or on an individual instrument.
To set the Order Default, select the Dictionary & Order Defaults Tab on the Broker Manager Window (Trade, Broker Manager, Dictionary & Order Defaults) Highlight either the Asset Category or an Individual Symbol (ES H2 is used for this example). Click Order Default.

Set the order default using the option available from the dropdown menus. Now when this currency pair is traded, the Quantity and Order Type will be preset in the order ticket.
Symbols configured with Order Defaults will display a check mark under the Default Column in the Dictionary
Removing Order Defaults
To remove order defaults, select the Asset Class or individual Symbol that has the order default set and click Remove Defaults.
Order Confirmation
The Order Ticket is considered the confirmation before a order is executed. If you would like to disable the confirmation prompt, click Trade, then Trade Settings.
Remove the check from the box for Confirm Orders Before Submitting.
Click OK to complete the symbol mapping.
Click Accept on the Create Symbol Window.
The new symbol has now been added to your Symbol Dictionary, click Close.
