The eSignal application time is synched to your pc clock.  Use the dropdown menu to specify the timezone you wish to use.  the countdown is an alternate display setting.  instead of the time, you can check this setting to display a countdown to whatever start time is specified.  once the start time is triggered the countdown will reset to counting down to the specified end time.  the countdown is useful in determining how much time left before the exchange opens and closes.

Formatting

E-mail
E-mail settings work in conjunction with alerts.  Enter the e-mail address you would like to send From and To along with the appropriate smtp server info.  Use the Test Message button to confirm that the e-mail alerts have been properly configured.  please check with your ISP or e-mail provider on the correct smtp settings for your specific e-mail service.

Premarket Settings
This feature, when turned on, zeros out different fields in the quote window. zeroing out the data helps prevent traders from making ill-advised trades based on stocks that are not actively being traded (especially true with OTC stocks that do not trade very often). it also allows traders to see that, when the market opens, their actual quote window fills in with data (instead of replacing old data).

Quote Ticker
The quote ticker enables you to set the appearance and scrolling speed of the quote ticker.  You can also  change the font, font size and colors.

Quote Bar
The Quote Bar section enables you to set the appearance of the Quote Bar.  You can change the Font, Font Size and Colors.

Screenshot
The screenshot section allows you to set the location of where Screenshots will be saved, locally, .  You can also enter in your File Share settings and FTP settings, if you wish to send screenshots to those locations.

Notifications
The Notifications section allows you to turn Notifications on or off.  A green means the Notification is turned on and a red means the Notification is turned off. You can also choose which sound will play when they a Notification is triggered.

Synchronization
Taking advantage of FileShare, users now have the option to synchronize eSignal files between different
computers.

Depending on the users’ selection these files may include bar edits, function libraries, Market Screener
filters, formulas in the My Formulas folder, sounds, workspaces and pages.
Please note that in this initial iteration of this functionality any pages that are open at the time of launching the application could be opened prior to being synchronized and should be reloaded before applying any changes to avoid a potential data loss. In the next version this will no longer be necessary as the pages will be loaded only after they have been synchronized.

Trading
The trading section allows you to turn Order Confirmations on or off when using the Integrated Trading with eSignal.

Local Storage Data

Overview-

The Local Data Storage feature optimizes application performance by caching downloaded data locally. Instead of re-downloading data each session, LDS ensures faster loading times, especially for high-volume symbols and lower time frames.

  • Enhanced Speed: Load charts faster, especially for symbols like AAPL, TSLA, SPY, or E-Mini with high activity and granular intervals (e.g., 1-minute or tick charts).
  • Persistent Data: Data is cached locally and remains available for use across sessions, reducing dependency on internet re-downloads.
  • Customizable Storage: Users can choose where to store data by specifying a local folder.
  • Efficient Space Management: Delete specific stored symbols/intervals to manage disk space efficiently.

Enabling Local Data Storage:

  1. Create a folder for data storage.
  2. Go to Options > Application Properties.
  3. Select Local Data Storage from the left pane.
  4. Check the box for storing data and browse to select your folder.
  5. Restart the application for changes to take effect.
  6. Optionally, set a notification threshold for when stored data exceeds a certain size.

This feature significantly boosts performance, especially for traders who analyze large datasets or frequent high-traffic symbol:

Note: The checkboxes in the Stored Symbol area allows a user to select one or more symbols/intervals at the same time and then click Delete key to delete that selection (to save disk space).
