Overview
The Quote Board window allows you to view Open, High, Low, Close, Change, %Change and other fields of information which can be added, for stocks, commodities, futures, spreads and options.
The vertical bar in each cell is called a Thermometer indicator. The Thermometer reflects the relative trading range for that day dynamically updating to reflect the current price. The small blue arrow on the left side of the Thermometer points to the Open value.
What the Colors Represent
The text color in each cell indicates whether the price is up, down, or unchanged. The default colors are red, green, and gray. Red indicates that the last tick price was below the opening price; Green indicates that the price is above the opening price; and gray indicates that the price is same/or unchanged as the opening. These colors can be customized by the user.
Fast Market/Settlement Indicator
The 'S' you see below indicates that the futures contract has settled for the day. An 'F' indicates a Fast Market.

Opening and Entering symbols in the Quote Board
To open a new Quote Board, go to New on the main menu bar:
Then click on Quote Board from the dropdown menu:
Alternatively, the Quote Board Window can be launched by right-clicking any symbol from another window (such as the Watch List window) and selecting Open in Quote Board.
To enter a symbol, simply double-left click in any box, type the symbol and press Enter.
The title bar of the Quote Board window allows you select a symbol list and manage the headers.
Right-Click Functions
By right-clicking the mouse inside one of the symbol boxes in the Quote Board will display a menu of options:
Open In
By right-clicking on a symbol, you can open another window type for that symbol:
Open in Options Analytix
If you are subscribed to Options Analytix, you can open a window in it for that symbol.
Add Alert
Right-click on a symbol and select Add Alert from the menu. Alert dialog box will appear to configure the Alert Condition, Rearm and Alert Action selections:

Order Functions
You can place orders, cancel orders, or close positions from the Quote Board by right-clicking on the symbol:
To place a new order, select New Order...:
An Order Ticket be displayed for selected symbol:
After the order is placed, you can cancel orders if they have not been filled or close positions if they have filled, with a right-click selection:
Insert Splitter
Allows you to "split" up and label (preceding the label with the # sign) the Quote Board into sections. The section can be collapsed or expanded using the arrow to the left of the label.
Insert Symbol
Allows you to insert a symbol in the selected cell.
Selecting Insert Symbol or using the keystroke combination Ctrl+I enables you either to type in a symbol or select one from the dropdown menu.
Edit Functions
By right-clicking in the Quote Board window, you can perform generic edit functions such inserting or deleting a row(s), cut, copy, paste, clear and selecting all items.
Find Symbol
Locate a symbol in a Quote Board window by selecting Find Symbol on the right-click menu or by pressing the F3 key on the keyboard:
A Find symbol box will appear. Type in the symbol and press the Enter key and the box for the symbol will be highlighted:
Customizing Fields
Right-click in any symbol box for the menu to add, remove or edit fields for symbol cells:
Add Fields
Allows you to add fields based on price, fundamentals, built-in studies, and customized studies.
Remove All Studies
Allows you remove all studies from all cells.
Edit Fields
Selecting Edit Fields allows you to adjust the parameters of applied studies.
List Functions
Allows you insert a symbol list, list current futures (for futures), options (for futures and stocks), constituents (for indexes), regionals (for stocks) and contributors and forwards for Forex.
Style and Time Templates
Click to select a Style or Time Template to be applied.
Properties
Allows you to further customize the features of the Quote Board window.
Thermometer
Change the colors of the Thermometer and position it vertically or horizontally in the cell.
Direction
Change the color and display of when a tick is up or down using this menu. The Color field allows you to choose a column (Symbol, Last, Change, All Cells) for the color display which is based on Net Change. Green (Up) indicates a positive change, Red (Down) indicates a negative change, and Grey (Zero) indicates no change. Tick Display allows you to toggle between using arrows or +/- for changes up and down.
The High/Low Highlight section enables the High, Low and/or Last, fields to be highlighted when a new session high or low value is hit.
Layout
Allows you to configure the font and colors of the window.
Trading Default Connections
Allows you to set the default trading connections for each issue type for the Quote Board window.
